Summary: The father of Cecil R. Holliman in 1938 caught his fingers in the door of his Chrysler automobile. Blood posioning set in and he died a week later, age 60. He had been a lawyer in both Fayette and Birmingham, Alabama. He was the son of John Thomas Holliman, 1844-1930, Civil War veteran. He was the first of his family to seek higher education.
