Summary: The Lee family was socially and politically prominent in the 1500s and 1600s in England politics and society. Margaret Lee married Christopher Hollyman (d 1588), the grandfather of Chrisopher Hollyman (1618-1691) who migrated to Virginia in 1650. Margaret's nephew would claim the distinguished Hartwell House near Alysbury, Buckinghamshire which is on the National Trust list, and as of this writing is a distinguished hotel.
